The BI Presidential Scholarship 2026-2027 is a fully funded master’s scholarship for international students. This scholarship covers full tuition fees for up to two years and a stipend for living expenses of NOK 50,000 per semester

Scholarship Coverage
BI Presidential Scholarships provide the recipient with the following benefits:
- Sivøk Applicants: Scholarships will cover full tuition fees for each semester, for up to two years, if the student achieves the academic progression requirements.
- International Applicants: Scholarships will cover full tuition fees for up to two years and a stipend for living expenses of NOK 50,000 per semester if the student achieves the academic progression requirements.
Also apply for the Charles Darwin University Scholarship and get up to 50% tuition fee awards.
Eligibility Criteria for BI Presidential Scholarships
To be eligible for BI Presidential Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Required Languages: English
- Eligible Countries: All countries in the world
- Candidates must have a minimum overall GPA of ‘A’ on the ECTS scale or the equivalent top-level grade on international grade scales to be considered.
- Students in the 3rd year of the Sivøk program are eligible to apply.
- Candidates with Norwegian or international citizenship. Candidates with international citizenship who have completed a bachelor’s degree in Norway are considered residents of Norway for this scholarship.
- Candidates admitted to the first year of a Master of Science degree program at the campus in Oslo or the campus in Bergen, except for the BI-Luiss Joint Master’s in Marketing.
- Only candidates seeking their first master’s degree are considered for Master of Science scholarships.
How to apply for BI Presidential Scholarships?
Please follow the steps below to avail BI Presidential Scholarships:
- Applications for scholarships are not accepted by email, with the exception of 3rd-year Sivøk applicants (see below).
- Always apply for a scholarship at the same time as you apply for admission on the online application portal.
- Upload your CV/resume and a scholarship application letter. The scholarship application letter should outline why you should be considered for this scholarship (maximum one page). Combine the documents into one PDF file. NOTE: Scholarships are awarded based on excellent academic grades, not on financial need.
- Upload it to the section marked ‘Scholarship’ in your online application for admission.
- Include all the required documentation to be evaluated for admission to a Master of Science program. The scholarship application will only be considered if a complete application for admission has been submitted and the offer of admission is accepted.
- Only the scholarship application and the documentation submitted at the time of application for admission are considered. No additional documentation is accepted once the application is submitted.
- BI students currently in their 3rd year of the Siviløkonom program can apply in the spring of their 3rd year by sending their CV and a scholarship application letter to info@bi.no with the subject line: BI Presidential Scholarship Application
- International applicants who apply for the BI Presidential Scholarship will also be considered for the MSc International Scholarship. A separate scholarship application letter is not required.
Notes:
- You may apply for more than one scholarship; however, BI Norwegian Business School will award only one scholarship per applicant.
- Awarded scholarships are tied to a specific academic program at a designated campus and cannot be transferred.
- International candidates who are eligible for tuition fee reduction and/or a student loan in Norway from Lånekassen (e.g., an 180 ECTS bachelor’s degree from a Norwegian educational institution) are considered as domestic applicants for scholarship purposes.
- Only candidates seeking their first master’s degree are considered for Master of Science scholarships.
