IsDB Scholarship Coverage
The Islamic Development Bank Scholarship will cover the following:

Eligibility Criteria for the IsDB Scholarship
To qualify for the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Scholarship, a candidate must fulfill all of the following requirements:
- Required Language: English

For Undergraduate Program:
- The eligible candidates should complete senior secondary education (or the equivalent of approximately 12 years of education) with good grades in major subjects.
- Not in receipt of any other scholarship; and
- Be medically fit and willing to undergo medical tests after selection.
For Master’s Program:
- Have minimum (“Very Good”) academic standing;
- Preferably have work and research experience.
- Have a research proposal in one of the fields of study of the program, stating its scientific and developmental relevance to the community/country.
- Be medically fit and be willing to undergo medical tests after selection.
For PhD study:
- Have a master’s degree in one of the fields of study of the program.
- Have minimum (“Very Good”) academic standing;
- Preferably have work and research experience.
- Have a research proposal in one of the fields of study of the program, stating its scientific and developmental relevance to the community/country.
- Be medically fit and be willing to undergo medical tests after selection.
For Post-doctoral Research:
- Have a PhD degree in one of the approved fields of the program.
- Have minimum (“Very Good”) academic standing.
- Have at least two (2) years of experience in the field of research.
- A record of publications or research in the same field is mandatory.
- Have a research proposal in one of the fields of study of the program, stating its scientific and developmental relevance to the community/country.
- Be medically fit and be willing to undergo medical tests after selection.
For Vocational Education Training (VET):
- Citizens of any of the 21 IsDB LDMC countries.
- Completed high school with minimum good grades in major subjects;
- Not in receipt of any other scholarship; and
- Be medically fit and willing to undergo medical tests after selection.
Obligations:
- Be medically fit and be willing to undergo medical tests after selection
- Sign the IsDB’s prescribed Scholarship Agreement, stating their commitment to their studies and serving their communities and countries upon graduation;
- Devote themselves to their studies on a full-time basis and without interruption, and provide the IsDB with progress reports on their studies regularly;
- Not to seek or accept other scholarship or remunerated work during their study under the Programme;
- Respect the laws of the country of study and maintain good personal and professional conduct consistent with the rules, regulations, and objectives of the program and the overall mission of the IsDB.
- Register with the IsDB Alumni after graduation to network with other alumni and keep updating the IsDB about their progress and achievements in their communities/countries.
