Moroccan Government Scholarship Deadline
The last date to submit completed applications for the Moroccan Government Scholarship 2026-2027 is Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
Incomplete applications will be deemed ineligible and will not be considered. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Moroccan Government Scholarship Coverage
The Moroccan Government Scholarship covers the following:
- Monthly stipend of 1750 Moroccan Dirhams, approximately 190 USD
- One one-way ticket at the beginning of the course
- One return ticket at the end of studies
- Insurance
The training grant or stipend is a living allowance. It does not cover enrollment fees, boarding, local transportation, or any other study-related expenses. These expenses remain the responsibility of the student.
The stipend awarded to students from the Caribbean and Pacific countries is 1750 Moroccan Dirhams per month, approximately 190 USD. It is granted for 12 months per academic year, from September to August.
Payment of the stipend is based on the candidate’s attendance at school and is facilitated through Banque Central Populaire. The stipend is paid every two months at Banque Populaire branches. Scholarship awardees will have to show their passport when receiving the stipend.
Students pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree may be eligible for a lump sum grant to cover the cost of printing their dissertation or thesis. This is subject to submission to AMCI of a copy of the work, a certified copy of the diploma, or a certificate of completion of the course.
Medical Coverage
During their study stay in Morocco, foreign students are required to contribute financially to an insurance policy. This insurance policy offers the following benefits:
- Reimbursement of medical expenses
- Medical care
- Emergency medical evacuation to the country of origin in the event of serious illness, preventing the student from continuing studies in Morocco
- Repatriation of the body in the event of death on Moroccan territory

Eligibility Criteria for the Moroccan Government Scholarship
To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must fulfill the admission requirements for their selected level of study.
Undergraduate Studies
For undergraduate studies, selection is processed according to:
- Requirements of the training institution
- Area of study
- Space available
- Academic qualifications of the applicants
Undergraduate applicants must:
- Be aged between 19 and 23 years old
- Hold a CAPE or Associate Degree from 2025 or 2026 with a Grade A or B
- Or be preparing the same degree in 2026
- Have maintained a good academic record during the last two semesters of study
Master’s Studies
Applicants for master’s studies must:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in the requested programme of study
- Have results showing the ranking of 1st class or 2nd class
- Or hold a diploma recognized as equivalent in the field of study applied for
- Have a good academic record
PhD Studies
Applicants for PhD studies must:
- Hold a graduate degree in the requested programme of study
- Or hold an equivalent recognized higher education diploma
- Be qualified for the course applied for
Candidates for master’s or PhD studies must state the programme and university of choice at the time of application.
Language Requirements
French is the language of instruction in most training institutions in Morocco. Candidates applying for this scholarship will require some level of mastery in French.
Successful applicants will be required to take French language courses at the International Language Centre in Rabat during the 2026/2027 academic year. At the end of the language preparatory programme, students who pass the language examinations will be able to enroll in the field of study or branch assigned to them before arriving in Morocco.
Arabic Language and Literature and Islamic Studies are taught in Arabic. Candidates applying for these courses must be fluent in Arabic. Legal Sciences is taught in either Arabic or French.

Required Documents for Moroccan Government Scholarship
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
- Verified copies of 1st and 2nd year CAPE or Associate Degree
- Tertiary level transcript
- Birth certificate
- Copy of national identification card
- Copy of passport bio-data page
- One recent police record
- Medical certificate issued by the public health department
The medical certificate must confirm the applicant’s physical and mental fitness and certify that the applicant is vaccinated and is not suffering from any contagious or acute disease, or is not a carrier of a pandemic, notably tuberculosis. Candidates may be required to undergo a counter-check upon arrival in Morocco.
Applicants for master’s and PhD degrees must also provide the following documents:

Registration Procedures
- Successful candidates will receive, through diplomatic channels, a Letter of Information/Convocation in their personal name. This letter will contain details of the training and scholarship conditions awarded to them, as well as information about their study stay in Morocco.
- Successful applicants must apply for a visa through the Moroccan Embassy in Saint Lucia.
- Successful candidates who fail to report to AMCI within the allotted time will be considered to have withdrawn their application.
- The successful candidate’s presence in Morocco constitutes final acceptance of the offer. Since the offer of enrolment is irrevocable, no request for a change of direction or school will be accepted.
- Upon arrival in Rabat, the student must present the Letter of Information/Convocation to AMCI/Guichet Unique in order to complete registration, scholarship and insurance formalities.
- The student must then report to the university or higher institute to complete final registration formalities. Students must comply with the internal regulations of the university or higher institute where they are registered.
- Training at public universities and higher institutes in Morocco is free of charge. However, certain universities or higher institutes offering technical training may require the purchase of specific equipment or payment of related fees. These expenses remain the responsibility of the student.
- Students must also send or deposit at AMCI a certified copy of the registration certificate issued by the university or higher institute.
