Maynooth University Scholarships 2026–2027 are partially funded scholarships for international students. These scholarships are available for master’s studies. The total value of the scholarship for each student is up to €5,000.

Maynooth University taught master’s scholarships are now open for applications. Sixty taught master’s scholarships will be awarded to students across all disciplines in recognition of academic excellence. The Taught Master’s Scholarships will be awarded to the most highly qualified applicants, ranked separately in each department or institute, based on the highest overall results in final-year examinations.

Scholarship Coverage

Maynooth University Scholarships will provide the selected candidates with the following benefits:

  • Successful recipients will receive a €1,500, €2,000, €5,000, or €7,500 fee reduction on the full-time 2026–2027 non-EU tuition fee.

Eligibility Criteria for the Maynooth University Scholarships

To be eligible for Maynooth University scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Required Language: English or Chinese
  • Eligible Countries: All countries in the world
  • Applicants must intend to pursue a full-time master’s degree at the university commencing in the academic year 2026.
  • Satisfy the entry requirements of the Maynooth University-taught master’s program they intend to undertake in 2026, and have applied to www.pac.ie.
  • To be considered for a taught master’s scholarship, all applicants must have achieved a minimum 2.1 honors undergraduate degree.
  • Applicants who are not graduates/alumni of Maynooth University will be required to upload their final undergraduate degree transcripts for their level 8 degree to PAC, i.e., as part of the standard PAC.ie application process for a taught master’s program at Maynooth University, by the 30th of June 2026.
  • In the relevant section of the online scholarship application, applicants who have been in receipt of a student grant for the final year of their undergraduate studies should submit evidence outlining their undergraduate grant award, as this will be considered where two applicants are equally ranked on final-year undergraduate grades.
  • Graduates or current students of PhD or master’s programs are not eligible to apply. Prospective students interested in research programs should apply instead for the Maynooth University John and Pat Hume Doctoral Research Awards.
