The tuition scholarship provides SEK 270,000 per year for two years.
The living-cost scholarship provides SEK 128,400 per year for two years. Eligible students can apply for one or both scholarship categories.
Is the Ingvar Kamprad Scholarship available for every programme?
No. It is available only to students admitted to Lund University’s Master’s Programme in Industrial Design.
The tuition scholarship is limited to fee-paying non-EU/EEA students, while the living-cost scholarship is open to all admitted students.
Is IELTS compulsory?
Not always. Applicants may satisfy the English requirement through an accepted test or qualifying previous education completed in English.
The standard Lund University requirement is IELTS 6.5 with no section below 5.5, or TOEFL iBT 90 under the applicable scoring system. Some programmes require a higher result.
Is there an application fee?
Yes. Most applicants from outside the EU, EEA, and Switzerland must pay a non-refundable application fee of SEK 900.
Only one application fee is charged for all programmes selected for the same semester through University Admissions.
Are Lund University PhD programmes funded?
Regular Lund University PhD positions have no tuition fees and normally provide a salary through formal university employment.
Applicants apply directly when a relevant doctoral vacancy is advertised. These salaried positions are separate from the bachelor’s and master’s scholarships covered in this article.
